Trainee Accountant

A position has arisen for a part qualified AAT person with strong technical aptitudes and qualities like conscientiousness, flexibility, and a strong work ethic.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Junior to Assistant Accountant
• Month-end processes across the Group – preparing P&L accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with Year-End Audit
• Bank reconciliations
• Credit Card reconciliations
• Credit Control and customer payment allocations
• Managing Fixed Assets register
• Petty cash and banking
• Sales orders processing and customer returns
• ONS Surveys
• Provide cover for AP function
• Go-Live support once IFS Cloud is live
• Other ad-hoc tasks as per business requirements

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Undertaking AAT qualification (preferably Level 3)
• Level 3 Diploma in Accounting – more advanced
• Accounting experience – preferably AP as well as Management Accounting
• Experience of working in a busy office
• Ability to cover various functions within accounting
• Good communication skills
• Thorough attention to detail
