QC Technician

Aeropak – Full Time - Permanent

The Diomed group is a continuously expanding and fully integrated pharmaceutical company comprising of research, development, manufacture, marketing, and distribution activities. This role is based at the group's manufacturing site where a wide variety of medicines and healthcare products are manufactured and released to the market.

The role will encompass QC lab and material inspection support. This includes maintaining a supply of clean glassware, purchasing of consumables, managing documentation, sample transportation and disposal.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Maintaining a constant clean glassware supply.
  • Purchasing of laboratory consumables.
  • Disposal of laboratory samples.
  • Administration tasks for the support of QC.
  • Be trained, and adhere to all procedures associated with Quality, GMP, and hygiene within the role.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by working safely.
  • Be trained and qualified in all relevant Health and Safety Procedures, report accidents and take part in investigations.
  • Pharmaready Documents to be read/read verified on a timely basis.
  • To bring to the attention of his/her line manager any difficulties or problems encountered in the performance of his/her duties.
  • Perform any additional tasks as required by the QC Manager.

Key Attributes/Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Proficient in computer packages, including MS Word & Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure with a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work equally well on own initiative or within small, dynamic teams.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grades A-C (9-4) including Maths & English.
  • Preferably, experience of working in a QC environment or handling chemicals.
